A very black comedy, set in an
apartment block somewhere in post apocalyptic France,. The
story focuses on a collection of bizarre tenants, their
predatory landlord and his unusual culinary proclivities.
Very atmospheric, although it is difficult
to imagine what apocalypse has struck, or when - presumably
some time in the twentieth century. It's also a rather touching
love story. There is something very special about Dominique
Pinon, and the character he portrays.
If you liked Terry gilliam's movie, Brazil,
then you'll like this. If you didn't, you won't.
